An Assembly
operator must be able to assemble the minimum pieces required by management
correctly every hour. The Operator must
be proficient with all the measuring tools required. The Operator must also be
able to fill out documentation electronically and or in writing, accurately and
legibly. This position also requires excellent communication skills, teamwork,
and integrity. The Operator must have great self-motivation, excellent work
habits, and work ethics. They must be able to follow all instruction given to
them by their leaders and Management.
Description of essential functions,
requirements, and responsibilities:
Under Managements direction and subject to
periodic review, the operator performs the following:
Sets-up and runs hand assembly machines.
Identifies, and assembles parts correctly.
Identifies containers correctly per the bill of material and places all products in the correct container for lot traceability.
Clocks in and out correctly in the company time tracking system.
Logs work orders into company labor collection system in a timely manner, and correctly.
Completes job operations in company labor collection system correctly and accurately.
Must be able to collaborate well with other team members.
Must be able to take direction and communicate verbally and in writing in English.
Must become proficient in quality discrepancy identification.
Operator must become proficient in all manual assembly processes as required by the company.
Operator must learn and identify different product families.
Operator must be able to assemble correctly all product families and assemble at required rate.
Operator must be able to identify each component on all assembled part families.
The
assembly operator position is a key and integral part of the manufacturing
process. It requires a self-driven individual with exceptional knowledge of the
components, and how they work. Operators will use various tools including
measuring tools to perform their day-to-day functions. At times, the Operator
may be required to lift thirty pounds. They will be working in a fast-paced
manufacturing environment that is loud. Depending on the season, the factory
could be extremely hot and or very cold. They are required to always use proper
personal protective equipment when inside the factory. The Assembly operator
must be able to fill in documentation correctly and accurately. They must be able to read and understand qualification
sheets . Employee will need to be able to distinguish a conforming part from a
non-conforming part. The Assembly Operator must possess an elevated level of
integrity and must understand that they are manufacturing critical components
for the Aerospace industry. Therefore, all company rules and regulation as
decided by Management are always to be followed and observed without exception.
