As an Assembly Mechanic Level 2 here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and testing of our mechanical systems and components. You will be accountable for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through meticulous assembly and adherence to standard operating procedures. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will contribute to the success of our projects and the overall growth of our business.

You will report directly to our Assembly Supervisor and you'll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing processes by assembling and testing mechanical systems and components. Your ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow assembly procedures will ensure the accurate and timely completion of projects. By conducting quality inspections and troubleshooting any issues that arise, you will help maintain the high standards of our products.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•   Assemble mechanical systems and components according to engineering drawings and assembly procedures
•   Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
•   Troubleshoot and resolve any assembly issues or discrepancies
•   Perform functional testing and validation of assembled products
•   Maintain accurate documentation of assembly processes and test results

YOU MUST HAVE

•   Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related field
•   Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
•   Ability to interpret engineering drawings and assembly procedures
•   Basic knowledge of hand and power tools

The Assembly Mechanic Level 2 position is part of our Mechanical Systems & Components (MSC) business unit. MSC provides a wide range of mechanical products and value-adding services to Honeywell Aerospace customers, including aircraft manufacturers and operators, and agencies of the U.S. government. The business develops and manufactures air and thermal systems, mechanical components, and wheels and braking systems. It also manages and operates facilities for the Federal government. Every 5 seconds, an aircraft lands with Honeywell Wheels and brakes. The entire fleet of U.S military fighters and trainers use Honeywell Cabin Pressure Systems.
