**Job Summary**
As an Assembly Operator, yoiu will be responsible for component assembly. This role may require use of microscope, small hand tools, and fitting components into fixtures
**Job Description**
We are looking for an Assembly Operator in the Fairway, NC area **.** This position will be **full-time** and **on-site.**
**What You'll Do**
+ Polish and test fiber optic cables
+ Assemble and package fiber optic connector components
+ Terminate single and multi-fiber cables.
+ Inspect own work using quality standards and work instructions
+ Conduct tests as needed for particular operations
+ Measure components using calipers, gages, or other measuring devices
+ Complete necessary operational paperwork required to maintain the traceability of product
+ Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment.
**What You'll Need**
Required:
+ High School Diploma or GED Required
+ Minimum one year manufacturing experience
+ Experience with manufacturing fiber cables
+ Working knowledge of hand tools and blueprint reading
+ Available to work overtime to support production goals as needed
+ Must be able to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
+ Must be able to remain in stationary position 75% of the time
+ Must be able to operate machinery
+ Must be proficient and able to understand written instructions in English language
**Physical Demands**
+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
+ Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
+ Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
