Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Assembly Tech to join our team. You will be responsible for assembling and testing a variety of avionic electrical-mechanical assemblies, handling and installing fiber-optics, and related hardware. You will also ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated, support preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems, and participate in process improvements. You will be working independently to execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables, and your contributions may include improving work instructions and safety procedures.

ResponsibilitiesChampion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locationsAssemble and test with emphasis on detail an assortment of avionic electrical-mechanical assemblies, handle and install fiber-optics, and related hardwareEnsure lab equipment is maintained and calibratedSupport some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systemsParticipate in process improvements and maintain floor stock inventoryIndependently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverablesExecute test procedures for component and system level testing and maintenanceReceive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc.Contribute to improving work instructions and safety proceduresEssential SkillsWillingness to work all shifts (days, evenings, staggered shifts), overtime, and weekends as neededFlexibility in working/commuting between site locationsAbility to stand for long periods, climb up and down ladders, bend, grasp, sit, pull, push, stoop, and stretch as required to perform job functionsAble to lift up to 25 lbs. unassistedAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with hand toolsFamiliarity with avionic electrical-mechanical assembliesKnowledge of fiber-optics installation and related hardwareWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing environment. You will be working in a setting that may require standing for long periods, climbing ladders, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs. The estimated shift time is from 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM, Monday through Thursday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00
