Assembly Technician I

Overview: The Assembly Technician is responsible for being able to assemble, disassemble and repair specific product lines. To perform the job properly, the Assembly Technician I must have basic product knowledge, an understanding of production procedures, and ability to use common hand and power tools. The position requires self-direction, focus, and a strong desire to work within a team environment.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

Assemble fundamental components in accordance to the work instructions utilizing a combination of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.Assemble entry-level products to meet established standards for quality, quantity, efficiency, and customer specifications.Communicate with appropriate parties in relation to expedited orders, component quality issues, inventory records, etc.Participate in the implementation of process improvements.Participate in maintaining and suggesting safety practices and procedures.Maintain an orderly work environment.Maintain system accuracy and record transactions in ERP operating system.Participate as a team member to achieve goals.Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

High School Diploma or GED.1 year of relevant work experience, preferred.Strong mechanical aptitude.Familiarity with hand and power tools.Strong sense of urgency and basic ability to prioritize in order to meet the expectations of the customer.Detail oriented to provide the highest level of quality.
