Assembly Technician II

KARL STORZ is currently seeking an experienced Assembler II to join our team. This role involves assembling audio/visual components and medical devices according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while adhering to quality system protocols and regulatory compliance. The Assembler II will play a key role in general assembly, wiring, administration, shipping/receiving, inventory control, order processing, part inspection, and maintaining operational efficiency. The role also supports production, ensures FDA compliance, and assists in the maintenance of manufacturing equipment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble and test medical devices and audio/visual components according to SOPs and work instructions. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA and GMP. Maintain accurate and detailed production documentation to ensure traceability. Assist in shipping/receiving, inventory control, order processing, and part inspection. Adhere to cost control and workflow requirements. Collaborate with management and production staff to ensure timely completion of production orders. Identify and recommend improvements to production processes and products. Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment, ensuring adherence to preventive maintenance schedules. Assist other assemblers to ensure adherence to quality and process protocols. Foster a professional image and communicate effectively with team members and other departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, with a background in or exposure to audio-visual technology. High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of audio-visual connectivity and electronics. Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and under pressure. Ability to read wiring diagrams and system design drawings. Solid understanding of audio-visual connectivity and signal flow. Exceptional organizational skills with a customer-focused mindset.
