An opportunity exists for a highly motivated, personable, and very organized Team Lead (TL) for our Assessment and Permitting (A&P) team within our Environmental Services Business Centre. You will report directly to the Business Center Operations Leader and will work closely with other leadership and team leads. As a TL, you will form a key part of the BC’s leadership team and will help grow our business through ongoing recruitment, retention and development of staff.

• Possess strong conflict resolution and communication skills
• Previous leadership or management experience is desirable
• Understanding and applied knowledge working under provincial and federal legislation (e.g., Water Act, Public Lands Act, Environmental Protection and
Enhancement Act, Fisheries Act, Canadian Navigable Waters Act and Municipal Government Act.)
• Current membership with the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists (ASPB), or other professional designations (either as in training or full member)
• Understanding of municipal political environment
• Possess strong conflict resolution and communication skills
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in environmental or natural sciences
• Minimum 5 years of relevant environmental experience
• Knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations and guidelines
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.
