Pyramid Healthcare in York has an extensive history of providing high-quality outpatient treatment in southeastern Pennsylvania through its subsidiary programs: Rehab After Work, The Light Program, and Seeds of Hope. We are currently seeking a Assessment Counselor to support our clients at York. Salary Range: starting at $50,000/year (based on experience/credentials)
Schedule: Monday and Tuesday 12pm-8pm, Wednesday through Friday 9am-5pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Introduce and explain the Level of Care Assessment (LOCA) process to clients.
• Collect demographic and historical information relevant to the LOCA.
• Explain and facilitate signatures for Releases of Information (ROI) and other admission paperwork.
• Facilitate admission process by communicating with Licensed Counselor when client is ready for clinical portion of the LOCA.
• Gather information for and complete precertification for all managed care clients when applicable.
• Required to find placement in appropriate setting for the client.
• Other duties as assigned.
• ASAM aligned substance programs must meet one of the below requirements:
a) Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology,
social work, counseling with a Master’s level licensure: Marriage and family therapy, social work,
professional counseling or certification by a state wide certification board.
b) Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology,
social work, counseling and are working towards a Master’s level licensure (Marriage and family
therapy, social work, professional counseling), or certification by a state wide certification board
(CAADC)
c) Bachelors Level with a CADC or are working towards a CADC with a minimum of one year of
qualifying clinical experience.
d) High School Diploma or equivalent with a CAAC
e) Current licensure in this Commonwealth as a registered nurse and a degree from an accredited
school of nursing and one year of qualifying clinical experience
