Responsibilities Conduct assessments with clients, including writing diagnostic reports and recommendations.Provide individual, group, and family counseling services at basic and intermediate levels.Assist with client admissions and discharges.Maintain regular contact with clients on waiting lists and provide interim support.Facilitate informational and educational groups as needed.Keep accurate records of client interactions and services provided.Coordinate referrals and maintain positive relationships with court referral sources.Communicate regularly with client support network, such as probation officers and family members.Testify in court and participate in interdisciplinary court meetings when required.Participate in staff meetings, clinical supervision, and training activities.Help onboard and orient new staff and interns.Uphold Chestnut Health Systems’ commitment to excellent customer service and confidentiality. Qualifications Must be 21 years old.High school diploma (or equivalent) and completion of an approved practicum/internship in counseling, psychology, or a related field OR two years of supervised experience in mental health or substance use treatment.Must have or be willing to obtain a Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC) certification within two years of hire.Strong oral and written communication skills.Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Adobe Acrobat, and EMR systems).Valid driver’s license, private auto insurance, and insurability.Are you intrigued by this job but don’t meet every single requirement? The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $17.00 -$18.00 an hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.
