As the EMEA-focused Private Markets Investment Specialist, you will actively engage in identifying investment opportunities with clients across our global platform, in maintaining and developing relationships between the global investment desks and the EMEA distribution teams, in partnering with direct investment team investment specialists to increase client allocations, and in representing the collective private markets platform investment strategy on business related matters, including, but not limited to marketing, deep client engagement, product development and sales/retention strategy.
Job Responsibilities
Maintain our collective private markets book of business with our EMEA client base including in our EMEA Funds channel clients. Facilitate the annual strategic plan and quarterly reviews while maintaining regular contact with key clients. Deliver clear and concise platform overviews, providing insightful interpretations of near-term economic and relevant external events that may impact client portfolios. Identify opportunities where our global private markets investments can be effectively integrated into client allocations. Understand client investment goals and objectives and provide thought leadership and targeted marketing strategies in partnership with Global Alternatives Business Development and Marketing teams and EMEA Product Strategy and Development. Understand competitor landscape and provide insights and drive messaging on how to position our strategies vs. the competition. Establish collaborative working relationships with the EMEA distribution teams, global investment teams, research, portfolio managers, investor relations, product development, marketing and other key stakeholders across the firm.Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Extensive experience successfully raising capital for private market investment strategies or equivalent deep investment specialist experience within a single strategy. Multiple language proficiency with English required and French, German and/or Italian preferred. Network of relationships with EMEA institutional, retail and private wealth clients, preferred. Ability to deliver concise, persuasive and technically sound new business presentations and investment reviews including market outlook, fund/portfolio and underlying investments. Excellent written and oral communication skills and intellectual curiosity in the subject matter. Strong understanding of regional economic forecasts and the ability to interpret them relative to the performance of all products being represented on the platform. Ability to incorporate current economic forecast information from internal and external sources into asset class and fund positioning communications and working knowledge of portfolio construction and strategic asset allocation.Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
