We are seeking an exceptional candidate as a Fixed Income Vice President in our Investment Specialist team, covering our global strategies marketed into Asia, as well as our Asia strategies marketed locally and globally. The candidate will interact closely with a number of our investment teams located in London and New York to service our Asia client base.
As a Vice President in the Fixed Income Investment Specialist Team, you will actively engage in maintaining and developing relationships between the investment desks and distribution teams. You will represent your investment team on business related matters, including, but not limited to marketing, product development and sales/retention strategy. Job Responsibilities:
Maintain a deep knowledge and fluency about Fixed Income portfolios they represent. Provide insights about the fixed income strategies and market development to existing and prospective clients. Partner with the Client Advisor to present investment process, portfolio positioning, market outlook, performance to clients and respond to client questions and specific prospects. Partner closely with Portfolio Managers on business strategy, product strategy and distribution strategy for the Asia ex-Japan region. Review RFP materials as well as internal marketing tools, and to promote the strategies they represent internally and externally. Engaging with the sales teams across distribution channels is essential to jointly develop distribution strategy, targets and tactical plans. Work with other stakeholders to ensure smooth on-boarding process, implementing investment guidelines and instruments are properly setup Work with product development/strategy teams to launch new products or enhance existing products. Be responsible for overseeing and coordinating monthly portfolio and mutual fund reporting, including commentaries and performance data, working closely with internal teams that produce this content. Work closely with different groups including: investment specialists, portfolio managers, sales channels and other internal support and operations groupsRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills
Strong technical knowledge of fixed income markets and macro trends Solution-oriented and consultative approach with sophisticated clients Ability to act as a fiduciary, with strong work ethic and positive attitude Team player, combined with the ability to work on own initiative Strong communication skills, both written and oral in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) Developed interpersonal, presentation skills and ability to deal with clients and colleagues at all levels Excellent time management - able to prioritize issues and respond in a timely manner Strong knowledge of Bloomberg, PowerPoint, and advanced level of Excel; proficiency with MacrosPreferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
BA/BS undergraduate degree with strong financial background, CFA Minimum of 8 years of experience in Asset Management industry or related fields
