GAF is seeking a skilled and experienced IT Asset Management Analyst to join our IT team in Parsippany, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive administration of our IT assets (hardware and software) within the ServiceNow platform. You will ensure accurate tracking, documentation, and maintenance of assets throughout their lifecycle, contributing to efficient IT operations, provide regular updates to management and flag any issues that may arise based on the review of data and analytics.

Essential Duties

ServiceNow Asset Management:
• Administer and maintain the ServiceNow Asset Management module, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets (Hardware and Software), from procurement to disposal, within ServiceNow.
• Configure and customize ServiceNow Asset Management workflows, forms, and reports to meet business requirements.
• Perform regular audits and reconciliations of IT assets (Hardware and Software) to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to ServiceNow Asset Management processes and procedures.Asset Tracking and Documentation:
• Ensure all IT assets (hardware and software) are accurately tracked and documented within ServiceNow.
• Maintain accurate asset records, including configuration details, ownership, and location.
• Implement and enforce asset tagging and labeling standards.
• Ensure all documentation and standard operating procedures related to the Asset Management Process is kept up to dateIntegration and Data Management:
• (Preferred) Integrate data from third-party tools such as Workspace One and Tanium into ServiceNow.
• Ensure data consistency and accuracy across integrated systems.Reporting and Analysis:
• Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into IT asset (hardware and software) inventory, utilization, and cost.
• Analyze hardware asset data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
• Perform regular license reclamation processes for Software being tracked in ServiceNow to ensure compliance with our agreed upon license capacity
• Provide trend analysis for Software as it relates to our utilization and present recommendations to the team including but not limited to both budget savings as well as potential increase in budget due to the analysis performed.
• Provide recommendations for improving asset management processes and efficiency (hardware and software).Collaboration and Support:
• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to address asset-related issues and requests.
• Provide support and training to users on ServiceNow Asset Management processes.


Under This Roof We Require

High School Diploma

3+ years of experience working with IT Asset Management in ServiceNow or another asset management tool

Strong understanding of the full lifecycle of IT assets (hardware and software) within the ServiceNow platform or another tool

Experience with asset discovery and reconciliation processes.


General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Understanding of ITIL best practices.

Bachelor’s Degree Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field PreferredExperience integrating 3rd party tools such as but not limited to Workspace one and Tanium into ServiceNow.ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Administration Fundamentals, Software Asset Management Fundamentals, Hardware Asset Management Fundamentals).Experience with scripting in ServiceNow (e.g., JavaScript).Knowledge of hardware and software licensing.
