Morgan Asset Management's dynamic, fast-paced environment as a Vice President in Business Management, supporting our business in our Hong Kong and Offshore China markets. This Hong Kong-based role involves strategic planning, location governance, and facilitation of business and budget plans.
As a Vice President within the Asset Management Country Business Management team, you will be responsible for covering both Hong Kong and Offshore China markets, and work closely with stakeholders across management, distribution, product, and supporting functions across the firm. You will be reporting to the Asia Pacific Regional Business Management Lead.
Job responsibilities
Execute strategic initiatives set by location head and senior leadership, including delivery of key projects from end-to-end process Assess, analyze and track latest industry data/regulatory changes/product trends to help distribution heads to define and set growth agenda Represent Hong Kong and Offshore China in the Finance & Business Management organization; facilitate business and budget plans, develop and enhance reporting systems to foster business insights/analytics Provide risk and control oversight as the go-to person in first line of defense; run locational governance structure for Asset Management Hong Kong Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Manage Standard Operating Procedures; work closely with control partners to ensure the business is compiled to both regulatory requirements and J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s best practicesRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor’s degree Minimum of 5 years of experience in asset management or equivalent organization Highly motivated self-starter with ability to manage ambiguity and tight deadlines Excellent problem solving and project management skills; numerical fluency to analyze data and presence conclusions concisely Effective relationship building skills with the ability to listen well and influence others Strong sense of commercial acumen Fiduciary, risk and control mindset to uphold organizational values and principles Proficiency in both Cantonese and Mandarin ChinesePreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Programming literacy especially in automation related fields Knowledge and prior experience in sales and/or product related roles
