JP Morgan Asset Management's Real Estate Americas team is comprised of approximately 250 real estate professionals organized within key functional areas.
As an Acquisition Associate on our New York-based investment team covering the Northeast markets you will work accross a diverse portfolio of office, retail, multifamily, industrial, and mezzanine debt investments. Associates on the investment team play an integral role in working alongside our Acquisition Officers and Asset Managers in underwriting new acquisitions, overseeing a portfolio of assets, and driving value to our clients. Individuals in this role are involved in the underwriting and due diligence work associated with new deals, the oversight and strategy implementation within the existing portfolio, assistance on development deals, and completing various internal and external reports.
Job Responsibilities
· Underwrite transactions using Argus and Excel
· Create and utilize financial models for investment valuation
· Research and analyze market data
· Participate in property inspections and market tours
· Prepare presentations and written investment committee memos and client deliverables
· Perform due diligence to prepare acquisitions for closing
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
· 2-3 years of experience in direct real estate acquisitions, investment sales, or other transactions-related role
· Highly motivated and a self-starter
· Ability to work in a team environment
· Exceptional quantitative modeling and analytical skills - Real estate financial analysis, modeling experience
· Superior writing and verbal communication skills, and strong presentation skills
· Ability to multi-task, attention to detail and work in a dynamic environment
· Proficient with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
