Job Description

Position Overview
The Asset Management Specialist will work on a wide range of activities all directed toward the same goal:  maximizing the profitability and success of operational assets of Invenergy and its customers.

Responsibilities

Commercial

Assist in managing portfolio of renewable assets, under construction or in operation, throughout Brazil;Independently control and guarantee contractual compliance and customer satisfaction in the provision of technical, operational and asset management services;Drafting, valuing, negotiating and executing a wide variety of different contracts, covering a variety of transactions relating to renewable assets;Create and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers and serve as a single point of contact for contract matters;Assist in managing and resolving contractual, legal, regulatory and business issues as they arise.Assist in managing day-to-day stakeholder relationships (internally and externally) with state and local authorities, regulatory agencies, landowners, end customers, field service teams, finance/accounting teams and other parties required to operate renewable assets;Collaborate and execute as needed in writing, formatting, processing and timely execution of client reports and deliverables.Participate in contract negotiations.Draft reports on project performance for investors, lenders and other stakeholders.

Finance

Provide input, update and maintain the project pro-forma financial models.Assist in developing project annual budgets and perform periodic variance analysis.Assist in cash flow forecasting and management.Perform financial analyses of potential project improvements.Develop other ad-hoc analyses as needed.

Operations

Collaborate with the operations and engineering teams to evaluate and improve project performance.Coordinate with project O&M staff on other operational items, including major component repair and replacement.Coordinate with energy marketing or energy manager to find revenue improvement or risk mitigation opportunities.Regulatory and ComplianceTrack and assist with compliance of regulatory requirements.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and project contracts, including operating contracts, credit agreements, operations and maintenance contracts, land leases and power purchase agreements.

Travels

Some travel (< 25%) and moderate field work may be required. Travel to the U.S may be required. 

Required Skills

Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance).Minimum four years of professional experience in the renewable energy industry.Experience with BOP and Wind Turbine’s operation and maintenance best practices.Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Basic finance knowledge.Strong analytical, logical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and collaboration skills.Fluent (written and oral) in English.

 

Preferred Skills

Experience with Solar O&M.Experience with standard financial metrics and analyses (NPV, IRR, DCF models) preferred.Knowledge about Project Financing is preferred.
