Secure Journeys has been selected to operate Australia’s Onshore Immigration Detention Network on behalf of the Australian Government.
Spotless, as a subcontractor to Secure Journeys, will be responsible for facilities maintenance and asset management of detention facilities and for providing catering and garrison services to those in the centres.
With the new contract commencing in early 2025, we currently have a full-time role available for an Asset Manager to join the Spotless team.
The purpose of this function is to ensure the Department is provided with all the information required to make informed decisions and develop long term strategic plans for its Assets to ensure their use aligns to the needs of the Department.
What you’ll bring
Due to the nature of the work, you must be an Australian Citizen to be considered for this opportunity and willing to be sponsored for government security and employment clearances.A tertiary qualification in asset management or equivalent is essential.Further qualifications in project management, program management, a related business discipline or equivalent is desirable.Extensive experience in a similar role, with exposure in representing the business as the Asset Management lead.Experience in leading the development and maintenance of Facilities Management Plans, Procedures and Processes, including management of geographically dispersed, multi-site assets.Knowledge of OH&S & environmental regulations, together with working knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and Australian Standards.

The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:
Ensure that asset records are maintained by the development and ongoing management of regular asset audits.Work with site FM Managers to ensure Work Management System (WMS) contains real time data for all Department Assets.Develop and manage the annual condition audit process that includes technical inspections of fixed plant and equipment and infrastructure to ensure it is properly maintained and fit for purpose.Ensure each Facility has an Asset Register and that each Asset Register is submitted to the Department on the anniversary of the Commencement Date or as requested by the Department.Lead the writing of the National Asset Management and Maintenance Plan. Support the submission of National Asset Management and Maintenance Plan for Assets for approval to the Departmental approval, annually.
