Asset Strategy Network Modeler
Overview Job Title: Asset Strategy Network Modeler Employer: Rolling Frito-Lay Sales, LP Location: 7701 Legacy Drive, Plano, TX 75024. Responsibilities Duties: Lead network optimization projects and develop analyses that help source, deploy, store, and deliver our portfolio of products to customers at the lowest Total Landed Cost. Build and maintain optimized sourcing network models for business units such as Quaker, Frito Lay and Beverages so that sourcing and mixing are optimized to ensure the best utilization of our assets at the least landed cost and improved service levels. Use modeled results to guide the optimization of service areas in the network. Build necessary constraints into the model such as transportation costs, capacity requirements, logistics costs, CAPEX costs, channel requirements etc. and delivering executable solutions. Implement optimal mixing strategies. Track financial impact of sourcing decisions and build reports to track savings. Communicate changes to product supply and functional leadership to facilitate implementation of optimized solutions. Develop business cases in support of cost savings initiatives from network modeled solutions. Collaborate extensively with domain experts and cross functional partners from the Supply Chain, Finance, Planning and Manufacturing functions to gather, understand and process supply chain network data. Support the Asset Strategy Sr. Manager with modeling and analytics in the development of optimal network strategy and analytics. Qualifications Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial or Systems Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Research and 5 years of experience in offered or related network modeling roles, OR a Master’s degree in Industrial or Systems Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Research and 2 years of experience in offered or related network modelling roles. Must have 5 years experience (or 2 years with Master’s) in: Utilizing packaged network modeling software including Llamasoft, JDA, or similar; creating reports in both Power BI and Tableau; manipulating very large datasets using ETL software such as Data Guru, Alteryx, or similar; experience with cross functional supply chain impacts and cost structures; writing custom SQL queries for oracle databases; experience in supply chain planning role; advanced experience in using Excel to build formulas, PowerQuery, and data manipulation; advanced experience in using PowerPoint to create professional presentations; interpreting modeled results and influencing leadership with prepared analysis.
