AWM Alternatives Structuring Group Overview
The Alternatives Structuring Group (ASG) sits within AWM and focuses on tax optimization for both existing and new products, funds, and other clients, developing & implementing tax-efficient structures and products and supporting client engagement around tax efficiencies across AWM’s alternatives complex globally. ASG partners closely with AWM investment, fundraising and client relationship teams to deliver on this important strategy.
Role Overview
ASG is seeking an Associate in New York, NY to support and collaborate with the Head of ASG Americas. The candidate should have strong background knowledge in general US tax concepts, be enthusiastic to learn the latest developments in US and international tax laws, and be able to think creatively about planning strategies to mitigate tax leakage for funds and other clients. The role will also require the ability to quantitatively model various tax planning proposals/strategies in order to substantiate their after-tax benefit. In addition, the individual should have strong communication skills such that he/she is able to clearly and concisely explain tax benefit modeling and concepts to the Head of ASG Americas as well as other senior business leaders within ASG and AWM. The ASG team is based in New York and London.
Qualifications

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$225000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
