Multi Asset Solutions (MAS) is a multi-asset class investing group that sits within the Asset Management Division at Goldman Sachs. MAS designs and develops comprehensive investment management solutions customized to meet client objectives and constraints. These solutions utilize proprietary research and multi-asset analytics. With investment professionals across the globe, MAS invests or advises on assets for some of the world's leading corporations, sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, governments, financial institutions, endowments, foundations, and family offices.
The successful candidate would become a member of the Retirement Planning and Advice Product Team within MAS. Retirement Planning and Advice offers a digital first retirement planning capability that develops personalized retirement glidepaths, portfolios and retirement income plans for individual investors based on the capabilities brought to the firm in the 2022 acquisition of NextCapital. Key to this experience is a fully integrated client and participant experience across multiple product servicing channels from our UX to personalized email campaigns. We align data to personalize our engagement touchpoints, ultimately building an ecosystem that is highly customized and can assess communications and engagement effectiveness. We strive to combine our investment industry knowledge, engagement expertise and contemporary command of leveraging data, technology, content, and performance metrics to fuel growth and client / participant engagement.
This person will be responsible for the development, distribution and reporting of email campaigns delivered via the Braze Campaign platform and inhouse email distribution tools. This professional will work closely with other engagement team members, engineers, and product personnel to develop personalized email campaigns using liquid logic. Email campaign performance and follow-up reporting, along with implementing industry best practices, are all critical components of the role.
Core responsibilities include:
• Work with other team members including the content strategist, database experts, designers and project managers to create emails using templates available within the Braze platform and/or by writing HTML
• Use the Braze platform to set up and deploy one-time email campaigns and multi-step canvases, pulling recipients dynamically
• Integrate and test liquid logic into the emails for greater personalization
• Plan and execute pre-launch testing of campaigns and canvases to ensure that all dynamic behavior is working as expected, including audience segments and actions.
• Learn the software product and UX that our audience is interacting with, to understand desired user behavior and conversion events and ensure consistency across all methods of interaction
• Utilize existing, or create new, workflows for the email delivery, generate proofs and obtain required approvals, approve emails for delivery, analyze results and report key findings to stakeholders
• Recommend and implement A/B tests for emails to improve engagement
• Recommend and implement solutions to automate multi-step campaigns utilizing Campaign features for drip and trigger campaigns
• Implement personalization and customized mailings using user profile data and user behaviors
• Liaise regularly with engineering team members leading Braze development on any issues and enhancements required
• Monitor trends in participant engagement, Defined Contribution/retirement communications and personalized email campaigns; utilize research and metrics to recommend improvements to our engagement strategy
• Work with global team to ensure best practices are implemented and shared
Other required skills/experience:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• At least 3 years of relevant experience; experience with a retirement service provider a plus
• Experience executing email marketing campaigns via Braze or similar campaign tool
• Experience developing and troubleshooting HTML files
• Experience conducting A/B testing for emails
• Knowledge of defining and setting up multi-step campaigns including trigger and drip campaigns
• Strong analytical skills with experience analyzing campaign reporting to identify potential areas for improvements/optimizations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent writing skills
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with project management systems (experience with JIRA is a plus)
• Familiarity with different technologies and the ability to learn new systems quickly and effectively
• Ability to multi-task while working under pressure
• Team oriented; able to interact effectively with all levels
• Excellent client service skills, understanding of how to build strong relationships with internal and external clients

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this Chicago, Illinois, United States-based position is $80000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
