Goldman Sachs Asset Management Fixed Income Overview

Goldman Sachs Asset Management is a global leader among Fixed Income managers and have been managing Fixed Income assets for more than 20 years. Role Overview

Insurance portfolio construction team is an integral part of the Insurance fixed Income portfolio management team. Insurance Fixed Income Portfolio management team manages assets for Insurance clients.  Initial focus of the role will be to provide support to the Senior Insurance Portfolio Managers and sector portfolio managers by helping with portfolio management, trade construction, constraint compliance and ensuring risk is appropriate to meet client objective.

Job Responsibilities

Regularly review portfolio characteristics (e.g. duration, credit risk), cash levels, and account consistency; make recommendations to Senior LPM and sector PMsHelp design and model client portfolios through GSAM internal systems, that align with GSAM views and client objectives.Work with portfolio managers to help implement current investment views across accounts with varying objectives and constraints.Coordinate with different sector teams to reflect their best views in the portfolio as well as trading activities for multi credit portfoliosWork with CRM and sales to support various client requestsPerform topical analyses as market and client opportunities ariseUndertake risk exception monitoringAttend client meetings/calls with Senior LPMsEngage with SCS/ Guidelines team for operational setups and regular portfolio maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required. CFA study preferredStrong quantitative and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detailKnowledge and understanding of Fixed Income marketsExperience with or understanding of portfolio management and construction is preferredHighly motivated individual with the ability to work independently as well as thrive within a fast-paced team environmentCurious individual with strong critical thinking skills who enjoys problem-solving
