Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management Private Credit is one of the world’s largest alternative credit investing platforms with approximately $125bn of AUM and investment professionals based in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia. GS Private Credit is a dynamic platform with significant cross-pollination across strategies – direct lending (middle market and large cap performing credit), opportunistic and structured investments across debt and equity.

The Investment Grade Private Credit Americas Vice President - Infrastructure 

The Investment Grade Private Credit (“IGPC”) team originates, executes, and manages primarily investment grade credit investments across comingled credit funds and separately managed accounts (SMA) on behalf of pension and insurance clients.  IGPC focuses on corporate and infrastructure debt for public and private companies globally with an investment grade profile.  Vice Presidents support the business by working as part of small deal teams responsible for identifying, conducting due diligence, structuring, executing, and monitoring investments and are involved in a wide variety of exciting transactions across the capital structure in a variety of industries.  VPs are also responsible for the training and support of the junior team members, ensuring effective portfolio management, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Private placement infrastructure origination, credit analysis, structuring, and portfolio managementSupport investment ideas via engagement with relevant parties (e.g., agent banks / company management teams for the private side investing platforms)Engage in all aspects of due diligence and business analysis to develop and refine investment thesesPresent transaction opportunities to the Investment CommitteeActively monitor existing investments in the portfolioBuild relationships with sponsors, management teams and internal GS stakeholders

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in debt capital markets, preferably 5+ in the infrastructure private placement marketFour-year degree from an accredited college or university; MBA and/or CFA preferred.Proficiency in all aspects of the private placement transaction processExcellent credit analysis, oral and written communication skillsExperience in managing relationships with issuers, placement agents, and financial advisors
