Private Wealth Management (PWM) builds, develops and manages relationships with high-net-worth individuals, their families, family offices and foundations. PWM assists clients with building and preserving their financial wealth by creating and implementing long-term asset allocation within the context of each client’s particular risk tolerance, and by providing access to innovative investment ideas and opportunities. PWM professionals develop customized investment strategies and offer a full array of wealth management products and services.
PWM Asia is seeking a candidate to be a wealth strategist in the Goldman Sachs Family Office (GSFO) team in Hong Kong. The person filling this position would present wealth planning solutions to existing and potential GS clients and their advisors across Asia.
YOUR IMPACT
Basic Qualifications:
A strong background in assisting high net worth clients from an asset protection, life insurance, trust and estate and cross-border planning perspective. Technical expertise on tax and succession matters across key APAC jurisdictions (Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand) including experience in cross border planning for high net worth families Experience interfacing with trustees, accountants, lawyers, insurance brokers and other advisors in respect of private client wealth planning Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment Resourceful, self-starter, attentive to detail and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment Experience presenting to internal and external audiences Willingness and desire to travel frequently given regional remit of the role Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is a mustTargeting 7-15 years of professional experience as a rough guideline but no strict requirementPreferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with US cross-border wealth planning would be advantageous Qualified solicitor/lawyer or CPA/chartered accountant preferredExpertise in insurance planning is preferred but not required
