As a Mortgage Specialist in the Wealth Management Quality Control Operations team, you will support the review of activities across the Mortgage Line of Business, ensuring quality checks align with business expectations and regulatory compliance. Your role involves performing QC Reviews within the Mortgage Production QC team, managing turn-times, and maintaining compliance and regulatory standards. You will also handle daily SLA management, focusing on file accuracy, timely reviews of rush files, quality, and dispute reviews. Additionally, you will participate in innovation projects and recommend procedure enhancements.
Job Responsibilities:
Achieve daily production targets consistently and turnaround priority reviews within stipulated timelines. Maintain high standards and follow all process controls without lapses. Handle issues and escalate to management if required. Interact with different stakeholders to resolve process issues and play a key role in adding process controls. Suggest process enhancements and possible automations for better controls. Perform periodic risk and controls analysis with the team for process risk valuation. Organize, set priorities, and manage pipelines proficiently. Act independently and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-production environment. Manage time efficiently, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changes. Analyze data with attention to detail and apply good analytical skills. Coordinate and work collaboratively within and across teams.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree. Be willing to work in North America schedules, with potential shifts during Daylight Savings Time. Have 2+ years of experience in US mortgage loan originations and experience in Quality Control process. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external parties to resolve issues. Demonstrate expertise in Mortgage concepts and have working knowledge of major US Mortgage Regulations. Have a detailed understanding of all stages of the mortgage originations life cycle and proficiency in analyzing documents like Title, Home Owners Insurance/Flood, Appraisal, etc. Must have exposure to production management, work allocation, prioritization, exception handling, and process documentation, and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
