OPERATIONS
Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted segment that partners with all parts of the firm to provide banking, securities, and asset management services to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.

The AWM Data Governance team is seeking to add a highly motivated professional to its org. This team is primarily focused on building & maintaining a Data Governance framework for data attributes comprised in external reports and content published externally and internally. The Data Governance team will work closely with Operations, Business, Legal, Compliance, Controllers, Technology and other groups in establishing data pipelines and maintaining data value chains connected to various reporting outputs of the org. They will also assume responsibility of the risk & control oversight to ensure accurate and timely maintenance of these value chains at a periodic frequency along with establishing a change management maintenance workflow.

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSBILITIES
Leverage analytical skills, creative problem solving and project management skills to steer and uplift the existing Data Governance model. Organize discussions with key stakeholders to understand how our technology works, thereby empowering you to define specific data attributes and identify the relevant owners and source system(s) along with Data flows. Provide effective thought leadership to navigate the evolving financial regulatory landscape and help develop technological solutions to build appropriate architectureImprove the risk framework for data governance by documenting existing controls, analyzing their suitability, and recommending new controls for implementationManage relationships with professionals from other teams and divisions by articulating recommendations to gain cross-divisional consensusDevelop strong working relationships with Sales, Legal, Compliance, Controllers, technology and other groups in establishing the Data Governance model and keeping it up to dateProficiency in Business Intelligence & Low code Automation solutions to digitize the Data Governance framework and improve efficiencyEngage with relevant stakeholders for Data remediation to support regulatory uplift or data clean up as an interim measure, while we work through the strategic solution.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s/ master’s degree (Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business Management) with at least 3+ years of experience in data governance Strong analytical and project management skillsExcellent communication skills both written and verbalExceptional attention to detail and accuracyAbility to handle multiple projects, deadlines, personalities, and broad-based coverageKnowledge and understanding of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and adaptability to other software productsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentExperience with configuring and using Data Governance tools (e.g. Collibra) is a bonusKnowledge of the investment management industry and GSAM is a bonusBusiness Intelligence experience & relevant certifications (Tableau/ Alteryx) are a bonusABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS
