Assistance Programs Counselor Lead

BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking an Assistance Program Counselor Lead to join our outstanding and compassionate team in Clearwater! BayCare Behavioral Health is the largest full-service, community-based health care system in the Tampa Bay area. We provide a full range of comprehensive services for mental health and addiction issues tailored to meet the need of children, adults, and families. We offer a variety of services in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Polk, Pasco, and Hernando counties.

The Assistance Program Counselor Lead:

The Assistance Programs (AP) Counselor Lead is a Master's level licensed provider. The AP Counselor Lead quickly and efficiently gathers basic demographic information, conducts an assessment of the individual's needs, determines level of risk and safety, makes referrals to providers, and when needed makes recommendations or forwards information to assist member in obtaining needed resources. The AP Counselor Lead provides brief solution-focused counseling when caller is in crisis and other services as needed, is knowledgeable about community resources, and maintains appropriate documentation of all contacts according to department procedures. The AP Counselor Lead is able to provide on-site services as needed, including counseling, risk assessment, and adverse incident debriefing and support. The AP Counselor Lead has clinical and documentation oversight of higher level cases including mandatory and fitness-for-duty evaluation.

Travel required. Functions as a Treating Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts. Will perform other duties as assigned.

Required Certification/License:

LMFT, LCSW, or LMHC

Required Education:

Master's in Behavioral Health related field

Experience:

4 years of Behavioral Health related experienceMust have bene licensed for a minimum of 2 years Preferred - 4 years in Employee Assistance Programs or 3 years call center experience
