Duties include: Daily clinical management of inpatient bone marrow/hematologic malignancy patients with an emphasis clinical management of allogeneic and autologus transplant patients; shared responsibility for on-call coverage; case conferencing with multi-disciplinary teams; coordination of teaching rounds with Fellows and House-staff assigned to the inpatient; fostering collaborative relationships with referring physicians and organizations; medical direction to Data Managers and Nurse Coordinators’ experience and expertise in the establishment and maintenance of comprehensive databases; development and participation in clinical trials; participation in the education of medical students and house staff in accordance with assignments to the department by the Curriculum Committee and Chair.
Required QualificationsEducation & Experience:
MD OR MD/PhDLicensed to practice medicine in OregonBoard certified in Internal MedicineBoard eligible/certified in Hematology and or/Medical OncologyDemonstrates the background, focus and drive to excel, as well as the desire to deliver the best care possible to cancer patient in a clinical research environment Preferred QualificationsOur ideal candidate must possess a proven track record of teaching, basic, clinical or population research and excellent patient care.
Proven success in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, history of success in obtaining extramural funds for clinical trials and/or basic science research.
