Monterey Park Hospital, a 101-acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is seeking a Lab Assistant for our Laboratory Department. This is a part time, 8-hour variable shift position reporting to the Clinical Lab Director.
ResponsibilitiesThe Laboratory Assistant responsibilities include and are not limited to collecting blood samples from all age groups including neonate, perform front and back office procedures, computer data entry, performing basic lab test processing, set-up Microbiology cultures and send out to reference lab. The Laboratory Assistant must be able to organize workload to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment and prioritize duties for routine and stat testing. The Laboratory Assistant must be able to maintain customer service standards, work independently, and work a flexible schedule which would include working graveyards and variable shifts, including weekends and holidays
Qualifications Current CA CPT certification required.
