The RoleEdelman are looking for a passionate Assistant Account Executive to join the Health department. As Assistant Account Executive, you will be working with a variety of people of all levels, gaining and applying experience/skills in stakeholder outreach and management, media relations, content development, research, social media campaigns, event coordination as you support the team in the execution of communications marketing activities. Our ideal candidate will possess good interpersonal and communication skills and will have have excellent organisation skills, the ability to use knowledge to solve problems, and be able to adapt to new conditions, assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
If you are a driven Assistant Account Executive with passion for Health PR and would like to be considered for the role and work at PRovoke's EMEA Large Regional Consultancy of the Year 2024, then please APPLY TODAY.   Key ResponsibilitiesClient service:Client centricity – Provide client service support by preparing client status and activity reports, scheduling/coordinating client/team meetings and ensuring all supportive materials are prepared including updating workback/action trackers, attending meetings and conference calls, compiling media and competitor coverage. Brilliant basics – Research, outline, write, edit and proofread materials as appropriate. Identify target media and help conduct media sell-ins. Carry out research and share knowledge, clearly communicating with people of all levels (clients, colleagues and other stakeholders). Flawless execution – Coordinate meetings logistics, develop writing skills and a keen attention to detail, support your team in liaising with internal/external partners, support in management of action trackers to ensure on-time delivery to clients. Assist with research/analysis of media coverage and online conversations. Support project/event coordination. Ensure you get a good brief from your team prior to starting work so that you become a ‘safe pair of hands’ for your team. Integrated marketing fundamentals – Develop an understanding of the different types of activities that can be classified as communications marketing, including advertising, direct marketing, branding, online presence, printed materials, PR, sponsorships, congress activities, etc. Develop an understanding of the media publications that are relevant to each of your clients and help build media lists and your network of media contacts. Insights – Use the information you have learnt in team meetings and training to complete your tasks with intelligence and accuracy.  Collective creativity – Develop your network within the Edelman office to understand what other teams do and how this work might benefit your client(s). Digital fluency – Develop a basic understanding of the most commonly used digital and social channels available to our clients. Consultative skills – Understand top line client information including business strategy, project objectives and industry landscape and issues.  Financial management:Business acumen – Demonstrate an understanding of project budget parameters and pricing structures for your clients. Manage third-party vendor costs and provide. financial administrative support to the team by helping track OOP costs. Submit accurate timesheets and understand service levels for your clients.  Talent development:Contribute constructively to the 360-degree performance appraisal process providing feedback as requested. Commit to continuous learning to improve your own skills via the Edelman Learning Institute (ELI) and other training, including on-the-job training and mentoring.  Brand and business building:Understand how the business is run, and your role within it.   Conduct research to contribute to new business development activities and attend new business meetings, participate in brainstorms.   Identify and engage in networking opportunities, making the most of your university or professional networks, becoming an ambassador for Edelman.  Read and flag news relevant to target industries.  Key ExperienceAn interest in building a career in PR and communications marketing is essential.  Experience working or volunteering as part of a team.  Research and administration using key online, media and social tools/databases. Experience using Microsoft tools such as Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel and Word. Previous experience of working in a PR agency or communications environment is an advantage. An understanding of, and interest in, life sciences is advantageKey SkillsStrong writing and communication skills.  Strong attention to detail. Strong organisational skills. Ability to conduct basic research, including digital and social media research.  A good knowledge of media, including traditional and digital media.  Ability to multitask.  Good judgment.  Benefits  Our benefits and policies are designed to ensure our employees feel comfortable, inspired and equipped to thrive and do their best work.
