Assistant Accountant

The responsibility of this role ensures finance operation and reporting function follow the Group reporting requirements. **Detailed Description:** **Accounts Receivable** + Manage all aspects of Accounts Receivable function. + Process credit card payments and to prepare cheque deposits. + Liaise with customers regarding queries to ensure timely resolution. + Liaise with other departments regarding the release of blocked orders. + Work very closely with Logistics and Sales staff. + Maintain customer accounts in SAP + Assess appropriate credit limits + Ensure Account records are correctly maintained + Credit & Collection: Act as point of contact for cash application team in Romania, evaluate new credit requests and perform credit checks, review and release of orders blocked for credit as required, ensure on time payment by customers and related collection activities, maintain Accounts Receivable Ledger incl. processing credit notes and rebates and reconcile customer statements as required. **Accounts Payable** + Accounts Payable (incl. Travel Expense): Act as a point of contact for queries escalated by the processing center in Romania or employees, coding invoices, support direct debit payment process, support vendor master maintenance process. + Forward Accounts Payable invoices to AP team & be the local contact for AP enquiries. + Liaise with suppliers to resolve invoice queries. **Other Finance and Admin responsibilities** + Work with the CoE Payroll Team in the UK to lodge payroll taxes, workers compensation insurance + Lead quarterly inventory count and prepare relevant reports + Support office management activities including insurance renewal, ordering supplies and liaising with maintenance providers. **Requirements:** + A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting or equivalent qualification. + Good business knowledge with hands-on experience from an operational level on business processes + At least 3-5 years of credit and collection activity, + Experience of local statutory reporting is preferred + Proficient in Microsoft products as well as ERP systems. Experience with SAP would be highly desirable. + Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams at multiple locations. + Good written and verbal communication skills. + Enthusiastic, strong integrity, self-motivated and able to multi-task + Proficient in both spoken and written English Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
