Introduction

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with reporting, month end balance sheet reconciliation, and finance queries response. 

This role will be based from our West Perth office and will report in to the Chief Accountant. 

Team you belong to

You will join a small, local finance team also based in Perth, while being a part of the global finance team.  
We work closely with internal and external stakeholders. 

What you’ll do

•    Month end process, including general ledger and balance sheet reconciliation, SG&A review, expense accrual posting and reporting.
•    End to end fixed asset process and reporting.
•    Treasury function, e.g. Foreign currency exposure reporting in Trezone, ensure exposure is fully covered by forward contracts and currency hedging process, and review weekly payment run and Bank clearing in SAP and intercompany netting.
•    Manage the direct debit payment register, responsible for setting up new direct debit payments and acting as Admin for User rights and access.
•    IFRS16 Lease data review and maintenance in Fatman and month end journal.
•    Responsible for employee recharge cost in Salesforce.
•    Monthly update in SharePoint for donation and sponsorship expenses.
•    Assist in various tax preparation, e.g. FBT, yearly tax return and transfer pricing.
•    Coordinate annual budget process and upload in SAP & OneStream.
•    Assist external and internal audit.

Who you are

•    Degree in Business (Accounting).
•    3-5 years Accounting experience.
•    Progression towards CPA or equivalent.
•    Good communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to work well under pressure in order to meet deadlines.
•    Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel.
•    Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    SAP experience.
Desirable
•    Exposure and knowledge of integrated ERP systems.
•    OneStream system experience
