Euxton Hall Hospital - Shared Service Centre– Chorley, Lancashire

Full Time 37.5 Hours

The role is based at Euxton Hall’s shared Finance Office, delivering finance services for four Ramsay Hospitals across Lancashire. Euxton Hall is one of Lancashire's leading private hospitals situated on the outskirts of Chorley but close to Preston and Wigan, with easy access to the M65, M6 and M61 motorways.

The facility offers 32 beds all with en suite facilities to ensure complete privacy and by investing in advanced medical technology offers a wide range of treatments and services. On site there are two fully equipped ultra clean air theatres, an endoscopy and small treatment room. The hospital specialises in orthopaedic procedures offered such as arthroscopy, hip, knee replacement and upper limb surgery and offers rapid access to Breast Care services.

The Role

The Assistant Accountant will play a key role in delivering a comprehensive management accounting function for four hospitals in the North-West, as well as assisting on Payroll and NHS activity submissions. In addition to these core activities you will support the Heads of Finance in the completion of corporate returns, as well as ad hoc analysis as and when required. This is a practical role and is expected to have a meaningful impact on the running of each site.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the production of monthly management accounts

Production of timely and accurate statistical and financial information for a range of internal and external stakeholders

Provide information and support to hospital managers and staff as and when required

Assist with the monthly Payroll function

Time completion of bank reconciliations

Undertaking support for hospital projects and initiatives, under the direction of the Head of Finance and Senior Leadership Team

Deputise for the Head of Finance as and when appropriate

Liaise with the Central Finance Function as and when required

What you will bring with you

Previous experience in a management accounting role (preferably in a Healthcare environment)

Part qualified / working towards an accountancy qualification such as AAT or CIMA

Proven ability to work to deadlines

Advanced Computer Skills (particularly Microsoft Office)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business

Demonstrated Customer Service skills in line with the Ramsay Way Vision and Values
