Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (Pediatric Ophthalmologist) - Ruiz Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science, McGovern Medical School

Ruiz Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston is seeking a board-certified or eligible clinician-scientist with fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology to join our pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus division. This is a full-time faculty position, with research and teaching opportunities and expectations. This position also has the potential of an accompanying Endowed Chair, to be used for salary and research support. Appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be determined by experience.

 

Position Key Accountabilities:


This is an academic appointment with research and teaching opportunities and expectations. We are looking for a clinician interested in building a busy practice at our primary location, Robert Cizik Eye Clinic, located within the Texas Medical Center. Other responsibilities may include resident and/or fellow supervision at our county hospital, Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, which is central to and the primary location of our education programs. 


 Qualifications:

 

 

Texas Medical License or eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License.  Board-certified or eligible clinician-scientist Fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology.

 

Academic track with the potential for tenure. Appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be determined by experience.
