The candidate will provide and direct clinical care for children with full range of pediatric otolaryngology services, both in the inpatient and outpatient settings with APP and resident support. The successful applicant will join a busy academic practice with 13 faculty, 2 of which are pediatric fellowship-trained physicians. Tenure status and academic rank will be commensurate with experience. Developing a subspecialty niche depending on the physician's interests will be encouraged. Airway reconstruction surgery, treatment of vascular malformations, hearing loss and/or a cochlear implantation, craniofacial surgery are all potential areas of development given a physician's defined interest. Leadership opportunities in clinical care, education and research may be available depending on interest and experience of the candidate. This is a full academic position. The candidate will also be responsible for teaching residents and medical students assigned to the inpatient and outpatient services. The desired candidate should possess a strong commitment to both clinical practice as well as resident teaching. The department currently has a full complement of 15 residents. Ample research opportunities in multidisciplinary groups are available. Our department currently has both NIH and industry sponsored research funding. Fellowship training in Pediatric Otolaryngology or significant comparable clinical experience is desired. Applicants should be board certified or board eligible in Otolaryngology and licensed (or eligible) to practice in Florida. Starting salary is negotiable, commensurate with education and experience.
