ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, DEPARTMENT OF CANCER BIOLOGY DANA FARBER CANCER INSTITUTE and DEPARTMENT OF BIOLOGICAL CHEMISTRY AND MOLECULAR PHARMACOLOGY HARVARD MEDICAL SCHOOL The Departments of Cancer Biology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Harvard Medical School invite applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. We seek imaginative and creative scientists interested in building an innovative research program in cancer chemical biology. The candidate should possess the ability to work collaboratively with other scientists within the Chemical Biology Program and their host departments and should espouse the scholarly qualities required to teach and mentor doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows. Candidates should be committed to a safe and supportive culture based on principles of creativity, collegiality, responsibility, rigor, and integrity. The successful candidate will participate in the teaching and training of graduate students in Ph.D. programs at Harvard University, such as those in Biological and Biomedical Sciences and Chemical Biology, which attract extraordinary graduate students. Applicants will be housed at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and will be members of the Dana-Farber Chemical Biology Program. A Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in areas of chemistry, chemical biology, molecular biology, cancer biology or related fields is required. A core expertise in chemical biology, medicinal chemistry, drug discovery, development and design, especially as it pertains to advancing understanding and treatment of cancer, is preferred. Candidates who combine these interest with expertise and interest in developing and applying AI/ML methodology to design new therapeutic modalities and/or understand their mechanism of action are also encouraged to apply.
