The position is available February 01, 2025. Academic rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position is highly competitive concerning salary. The School of Dentistry is one of seven schools in Texas’s most comprehensive health science center. It is located in the heart of theTexas Medical Center,which offers significant resources and opportunities for collaboration and advanced training. In May 2012, the School of Dentistry moved to a new, state-of-the-art 314,000-square-foot facility, including the newDenton A. Cooley and Ralph C. Cooley University Life Center. **Position Key Accountabilities:** + Providing didactic, pre-clinical, and clinical instruction in Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics to undergraduate dental students, including dental anatomy and occlusion, direct restorations, indirect fixed and removable restorations, esthetics, implants, and digital dentistry. + Conducting research related to dental materials. The candidate is expected to lead and collaborate on research projects, mentor faculty, and undergraduate and graduate students, secure external funding, publish in high-impact journals, and contribute to the advancing knowledge in dental materials. + Providing service to the university, such as serving on standing and ad-hoc dental school committees. + Interest in participating in the faculty practice in Prosthodontics is highly desirable. **Qualifications:** + DDS/DMD or equivalent degree. + Advanced training in prosthodontics is required and board eligibility is desirable. + Prior teaching and/or private practice experience. + Competency in CAD/CAM digital dentistry is preferred. + License to practice dentistry in Texas or practice under a Faculty License through the School of Dentistry. + Advanced degrees (MS, PhD) highly desirable **Instructions to Applicants:** Please submit letters of application, curriculum vitae, and three references toUTHealth Houston's career site.
