Function/Duties of PositionThe appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.
This position is under the supervision of the Chair of the Division of Restorative Dentistry in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation and Biosciences.
The duties of this position are in support of the missions, goals and objects of OHSU and the School of Dentistry and include: Serving as an instructor in the preclinical laboratory, reviewing student work and providing critical assessment and aid in performing normal dental procedures, serving as a course director and giving lectures, attending lectures of fellow faculty members for courses in which the person is assigned, teaching in the predoctoral dental clinic and supervising students providing patient care, performing scholarly activities such as research (including laboratory and/or clinical studies), participating on committees within the school and university as assigned, and providing patient care.
The general pattern of working hours corresponds with scheduled clinic hours, Monday- Friday, 8am- 5pm. Deviations from this pattern may be necessary at times.
