Assistant BCBA Manager – Clinical Services

The BY YOUR SIDE Assistant Manager – Clinical Services is responsible for helping the Manager – Clinical Services lead the ABA Therapy Department at their assigned center.

The Assistant Manager – Clinical Services is responsible to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The assistant manager should have the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions, have the ability to read, analyze and responds to inquiries or complaints from clients and effectively present information to top management.

This is a full-time position and hours of work and days vary based on the needs of clients/business. This role will maintain a billable caseload in addition to Manager duties. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, as needed. Up to 2 Remote Days per week, once training is completed.

Core duties and responsibilities include the following:
Responsible for assisting the Manager – Clinical Services with enforcing standards for ABA Therapy to maintain BY YOUR SIDE’s high quality of care for clients and families.

Assist the Manager – Clinical Services with monitoring and supervising clinical procedures to ensure advancement of skills within BCBA and BT/RBT team. Assist the Manager – Clinical Services with educating ABA staff to practice effective, professional, and ethical behavioral analysis in adherence to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. Responsible for confirming completed soap notes and accurate scheduling records. Will assist in quarterly auditing of documentation of BCBA’s and R/BT’s. Will act as clinical liaison by participating in staff, family, and/or management meetings as needed. Support Operations Team in monitoring the efficient completion of schedule at least two weeks in advance. Monitor efficiently the weekly completion of BCBA’s billables (in conjunction with Central Reach schedule). Ensure Central Reach appointments are coded accurately for regular oversight of therapy sessions, assessments, family coaching, and treatment planning to provide guidance and supervision. Assist Manager – Clinical Services with facilitating BCBA, R/BT, and/or team meetings as needed to: Review caseloads and client progress Support staff professional development through the creation and distribution of learning materials. Provide mentorship, guidance, and/or feedback to staff Ensure BYS has fully staffed team of BCBAs necessary to supervise therapy: Assist Manager – Clinical Services with overseeing the onboarding and orientation of new BCBAs and BCaBAs. Track completion of orientation process for new BCBAs and BCaBAs. Track completion of caseload transition task list by supervisors. Assist BYSU Team with RBT training including competency assessments and coordinating pairings between RBTs and BCBAs Conduct initial evaluations, process potential client interested in receiving therapy services and report recommended therapy hours to Senior Director – Clinical Services in a timely fashion. Work in conjunction with Behavior Technician, Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, and Operations team to ensure collaboration between disciplines. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Supervisory Responsibilities

Provide assigned targeted caseload hours per week of direct therapy, treatment planning, consultations, and coaching per week, while maintaining timely professional documentation of clinical notes for direct patient care provided. Ensure completion and quality of documentation for all pre-authorizations, initial evaluations, assessments, insurance reports and progress reports. Assist Manager – Clinical Services with supervision center ABA Therapy Team in collaboration with Senior Manager – Clinical Services and Senior Director – Clinical Services. Uphold and maintain BYS core principles, policies and procedures.

Skills Required

Master’s Degree required in relevant field from an accredited University. National Certification by Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Must be a BACB Board Certified Behavioral Analyst, with a minimum of two (2) year’s experience as a BCBA (preferred). Completion of eight (8) hour online, competency-based training module on BACB experience standards and completion of Professional Crisis Management (PCM) training. Ability to lead a team and supervise therapists. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, execute on deadlines and produce high quality deliverables with attention to details.
