THE ROLE ASM Global Grand Rapids is seeking a proactive and organized Assistant Box Office Manager to support day-to-day ticketing operations across a dynamic calendar of concerts, sporting events, and live entertainment. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate show builds, smooth box office execution, and a top-tier patron experience, all while collaborating with promoters, tour reps, and internal departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Lead project management of individual show builds and oversee inventory control, working closely with show management and promoters to meet all ticketing requirements. + Manage event-day box office operations, including financial reconciliation and settlement of ticket sales. + Serve as part of the on-call rotation, responding to urgent ticketing needs after hours from a home-based setup. + Prepare and distribute daily ticket sales reports; maintain accountability for all box office financials. + Train and support part-time ticket sellers, implementing new technologies and best practices to enhance performance. + Process ticket sales as needed using Ticketmaster and AXS platforms. + Foster strong relationships with venue tenants, show promoters, touring personnel, and internal departments to enhance coordination and efficiency. + Deliver outstanding customer service to guests, addressing inquiries and resolving ticketing issues effectively. + Availability to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays is required. + Perform other duties as assigned to support the box office and overall event operations. Supervisory Responsibilities (if the specific role needs it) Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; and implementing new technologies and best practices to enhance performance. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. + Solid organizational skills, ability to handle cash, basic accounting, and prior ticket sales experience is required. + Excellent organizational and communications skills required. + Working knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Windows. + Experience working with the Ticketmaster HOST & ARCHTICS systems, as well as AXS is strongly preferred.
