**Description**
**BASIC FUNCTION:**
Responsible for assisting the BSA Officer in the leadership, direction, administration, monitoring, and ongoing improvement of the Bank’s BSA/AML/OFAC Program to ensure compliance with BSA, AML, CTF and OFAC requirements in all areas of the Bank. Works in conjunction with BSA Analysts to monitor and investigate suspicious activity. Collaborates with BSA Officer with enhancements to SouthEast Bank’s BSA system of internal controls to ensure ongoing compliance, including monitoring, documenting, obtaining a satisfactory audit and exam results.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
+ Assist BSA Officer with management of bank’s BSA/AML/OFAC Compliance program.
+ Assist BSA Officer in acting as an escalation point in order to resolve issues, cases, alerts, etc. Work on complex issues where analysis of situation or data requires and in-depth evaluation of variables.
+ Assist bank employees in answering BSA questions and inquiries and analyzing any issues that develop.
+ Review system reports to identify transactions that require a Currency Transaction Report (CTR) to be filed, including communication with branch employees regarding transaction data and information.
+ Review alerts generated by bank’s transactional monitoring software and analyze activity to identify potential suspicious and/or fraudulent activity.
+ Maintain and update as needed all BSA/AML/OFAC policies and procedures, and all related risk assessments.
+ Assist BSA Officer with administration of CDD/EDD risk rating and monitoring program and expanded monitoring of High-Risk customers.
+ Provide training to bank employees on BSA regulations, policies, and procedures, as needed or requested.
+ Maintain a strong working knowledge of all BSA/AML/OFAC laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, and industry best practices and rising trends.
+ Other duties as assigned by the BSA Officer.
+ Conduct day-to-day operations in accordance with the laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and expectations of the Bank.

**WORKING CONDITIONS:**
+ Sitting for extended periods of time
+ Lift 10-20lbs periodically
+ Periodic travel
**REQUIREMENTS:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent, required.
+ 3+ years' compliance, audit or regulatory examiner experience or equivalent banking experience with an emphasis on BSA compliance.
+ Verafin experience, preferred
+ BSA certifications preferred (e.g., CAFP, CAMS, ACAMS)
+ 5+ years general banking experience, preferred
