Summary:
The Assistant Business Office Manager (ABOM) is responsible for a team of Business Office Associates. The ABOM collaborates with the Business Office Manager to create an exceptional associate and customer experience aligned with the CarMax culture.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Assists in personnel selection by attending job fairs and performing interviewsManages certification program to train and develop each associateConducts file reviews and annual performance reviews of business office associatesWrites and delivers performance managementProvides direction to the Business Office Associates as it relates to people management activitiesParticipates in the rotation of the “Manager on Duty” role – responsible for delegating and directing the business office work flow, answering questions related to transactions, handling customer issues/concerns and following up on delegated business office work tasksManages personnel in processing retail automobile sales including printing daily reports, maintaining deal jackets, contacting financecompanies regarding contracts, obtaining required information regarding registration and titling, and auditing completed paperworkManages personnel in processing appraisal lane purchase including title collection calls and follow up, obtaining proper paperwork and signatures from customers and sending appropriate documentation to Corporate for funding of draftsManages personnel in processing affiliated with state DMV paperwork, including paperwork necessary to title and register a vehicle for a customer after the saleDelegates and follows up on various business office tasksReconciles several accounts like sales audit, credit cards, customer deposit, and mail refundManages cash including receiving and counting money, distributing funds, preparing deposits and handling of the safe with considerations to securityProvides customer service by listening, answering customer questions and explaining paperwork process Assist store personnel and all store departments in their daily functions while adhering to CarMax guidelinesQualifications:
