POSITION SUMMARY Assist in timely and on budget completion of building projects assigned by the department head. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES + Needs may include but are not limited to: Assist carpenter in construction projects, such as decks, concrete walks, providing new openings for installing doors and/or windows. + Remodeling projects such as bathrooms, kitchens, and office spaces. + Maintain clean and safe work areas. + In charge of equipment and tools, to ensure they are kept in proper order and well maintained. + Provide a safe environment for residents & staff by constructing a work zone barrier to minimize peripheral impact from construction activity and to restrict access to power equipment by non-facilities personnel. + All other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS + High School Diploma or GED required + 1-2 years’ experience in carpentry preferred. + Must be able to work a flexible schedule + Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills. + Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software and e-mail applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word; have the aptitude to learn other computer software as necessary. + Ability to lift up to 80 pounds in a safe manner. + Meet the requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles as required.
