THE JOB:
As an Assistant Chef at Moneyline at Aria, you’ll lead the charge in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. You’ll ensure every dish meets the highest standards of quality, while mentoring and guiding a talented kitchen team. Your leadership will be key in creating a collaborative, efficient environment where creativity and excellence thrive. By understanding each guest’s unique needs, you’ll help craft unforgettable dining experiences that leave a lasting impression, making every visit special. Your role combines culinary mastery with leadership to set the bar for excellence in both food and service.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Train Master Cooks, Cooks, Pantry Workers and Helpers on job responsibilities
Ensure requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated area
Label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
Maintain knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks and soups
Ensure food quality is superior and take action to correct any irregularities
Communicate with management and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and employees
Assist the Executive Chef by controlling purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory of all kitchen items
Prepare and administer kitchen schedule
Assist Executive Chef by establishing goals and objectives that focus on profit, product and people.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Experience with hand stretching pizza
Supervisory/ leadership role in kitchen such as Assistant Chef, Executive Sous Chef or high position
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Experience managing employees using a Collective Bargaining Agreement
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent educational experience
Two years of experience in a high-volume kitchen environment
Flexibility to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
