Assistant Chief Engineer

An Assistant Chief Engineer supports the Chief Engineer in overseeing engineering operations with a focus on streamlining processes, enhancing system reliability, and driving innovation through strategic planning and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

\n\nLeadership:\n\nSupervise the engineering team and manage daily operations, provide mentorship and technical guidance, ensure tasks are completed efficiently and meet industry standards.\n\nProject Management:\n\nAssist in developing and implementing maintenance plans for property, equipment, and assets, ensure all systems remain in a safe and acceptable state of repair.\n\nOperational Support:\n\nMaintain, calibrate, and ensure the proper functioning of equipment, machinery, tools, and systems, focus on maximizing guest satisfaction through operational efficiency.\n\nCompliance & Safety:\n\nEnsure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations concerning engineering, safety, and environmental standards, conduct property safety audits and safety training for team members.\n\nTechnical Expertise:\n\nProvide advanced technical support in electrical and mechanical engineering, especially in power plant operations, automation, programming, LDSS, synchronizing, servicing, and troubleshooting.\nOffer strong support for desalination plants, steam boilers, incinerators, and their maintenance.\n\nBudgeting & Resource Management:\n\nAssist in preparing and managing the engineering budget. Ensure efficient use of materials, tools, and resources to minimize waste and control costs.\n\nReporting & Documentation:\n\nMaintain accurate records of engineering processes, procedures, and maintenance. Create and present regular performance and progress reports.\n\n

An Assistant Chief Engineer serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

\n\n5 to 10 years of experience in hotel engineering in a supervisory or leadership role.\nAdvanced knowledge of building management/engineering\nPositive attitude\nGood communication skills\n\n

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.)\nPreference for candidates with island operations experience.\n\n
