We are looking for an **Assistant Child Care Teacher** to support Towerlight's Intergenerational Child Care program by caring for and teaching young children in their assigned age group. Early Education Assistants will teach, plan, and organize childcare program activities to ensure that the program provides the highest quality childcare available.
This position includes:
+ 80 hours per two weeks ; Monday- Friday (flexible)

**Responsibilities include but not limited to:**
+ Implement developmentally age-appropriate curriculum
+ Maintain a child-friendly and orderly classroom
+ Implement effective guidance and support strategies
+ Coordinate and contribute to the teaching team
+ Supervise health, safety, and overall well-being of children at all times
+ Participate in program areas such as intergenerational activities
+ Maintain certification in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, SUIDS/AHT
**Required Qualifications:**
+ High school degree- Child Development or Teacher qualified under Minnesota 9503.0032
+ Current Pediatric CPR from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross; must be obtained within 90 days of hire
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Two years full-time post-secondary education with 9 quarter or 6 semester early childhood/child psychology or related field coursework.
**Must meet Department of Human Services Rule 3 assistant teacher qualifications**
