Overview
Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Municipal Engineering Group in San Antonio, TX! The selected Assistant Project Manager will utilize leadership and engineering skills to perform design tasks and manage support staff. Design tasks include grading and drainage designs associated with GA development projects. Work within AutoCAD alongside staff engineers to collaborate and successfully complete projects within established budgets, deadlines and agency regulations.

Responsibilities
+ Assist in preparation of effective work plans and labor budgets for approval by supervisor.
+ Oversee the work and productivity on assigned projects.
+ Participate in or hold team meetings ensuring procedures governing the review and approval of projects are followed prior to submission of completed work.
+ Ensure all project work is performed and completed in accordance with QA/QC standards, systems and procedures as designated for project.
+ Coordinate and communicate effectively with all employees involved in the project to ensure high utilization rates (i.e. Project team meeting).
+ Assist with mentoring junior staff in learning sound technical and business practices.
+ Review all deliverables from staff.
+ Prepare production documents and conduct kickoff/team meetings.
+ Manage project scope, budget, and schedule.
+ Interpret ordinances and regulations to determine project impact.
+ Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and memos.
+ Attend client meetings and bid openings.
+ Coordinate with other disciplines.
+ Provide construction administration.
+ Attend field construction meetings.
+ Communicate with contractors.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
+ 3+ years of related site/civil land development or municipal project experience, or possess relevant work experience.
+ Experience with public works projects a plus.
+ Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure registration preferred.
+ Knowledge of local city, county, and state land use processes and regulations.
+ Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading, and other site development-related designs.
+ Demonstrated Civil 3D skills with the ability to design site layouts concept through completion.
+ Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
