Overview As the Assistant Clinic Manager, you'll assist the Clinic Manager in the supervision of front office staff, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring patients receive the highest quality of care. Responsibilities
In conjunction with the Clinic Manager:  interviews, hires, supervises, counsels, appraises, and recommends salary increases for front office staff
Assists with scheduling front office staff assignments and oversees efficient patient flow
Assists with maintaining front office staff schedules by monitoring that lunches are taken on time and overall time management is observed to avoid overtime
Competently performs all duties within the front office:  check-in, check-out, appointment scheduling, benefit verification and medical records preparation
Reviews the provider’s schedules on a weekly basis and makes recommendations to the Clinic Manager when changes are necessary
Monitors the flow for potential delays, notifies appropriate staff when necessary, and assists with identifying opportunities to expedite the process
Assists with completing all tasks on the End of Day Checklist
Assists with monitoring and taking appropriate action of open front office tasks
Assists with training, coaching and mentoring front office employees for ongoing development
Fosters development of strong relationships between employees
Assists in finding resolution to problems and keeps an open line of communication with staff to ensure high productivity
Assists Team Leads to ensure a smooth clinic flow
Serves on Committees and assists with the development of procedures and policies as needed
Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
At least 1-year of experience in Ophthalmology management preferred
Knowledge of scheduling and insurance requirements
Demonstrated computer literacy and experience working with a medical office software preferred
Detail oriented, reliable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
Flexible schedule Monday through Friday
