About this position
The Assistant Clinical Manager ensures delivery of evidence-based practice by professional nursing personnel and other staff in designated areas of responsibility. S/he acts in the absence of the Clinical Manager to plan, organize, direct and evaluate the care center's delivery of evidence-based patient care in a cost-effective manner, providing leadership and clinical management to members of the health care team. As an RN, the Assistant Clinical Manager is responsible for providing compassionate quality care that is patient and family focused; and assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents care of patients according to hospital and care center policies and standards of professional nursing practices. The Assistant Clinical Manager is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered and will assist with directing the clinical operations; help with scheduling, staffing, and time card processing; deliver performance evaluations, feedback and coaching; and establish and enforce policies and procedures for the care center or Hospital. Additionally, the Assistant Clinical Manager will assist in preparing administrative records and budget information, and will serve as representatives of the care center or Hospital in meetings, seminars, or other functions. Requirements
Education
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing or related field; experience may be substituted for part of preferred educational qualifications as appropriate.
Experience
• 3+ years' nursing experience in care center's area of nursing practice (e.g. emergency care, L&D, Med Surg) and 1+ years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Effective leader with superior judgment and disciplined decision-making approach, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Effective planning, organizational and detail-oriented skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and adjust workload accordingly.
• Must take initiative, be self-motivated and an independent, accountable, dependable performer.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, team-oriented approach and ability to establish rapport quickly and collaborate effectively.
• Effective in meeting and exceeding patient satisfaction, employee engagement, departmental/hospital performance and quality goals; ability to be accountable for quality customer service and respond appropriately to a variety of personalities and situations.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities.
• Superior proficiency in PC-based software for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, graphics, and scheduling.
• Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to express ideas and information (both in written and oral form), clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience.
• Demonstrated ability to deal with conflict in a positive manner. Has an awareness of, responds to, and considers the needs, feelings and capabilities of others.
• Ability to be accountable for quality customer service and respond appropriately to a variety of personalities and situations.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
• Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Recognizes and complies with legal regulatory, accrediting and procedural requirements related to area of responsibility.

• Reports violations or areas of concern to leader or Corporate Compliance Officer via established methods of communication.
Licensure/Certification
• Current licensure and registration as a RN in the State of MN.
• Current BLS certification for all areas of nursing practice required.
