Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applicants for an Assistant Coach - Defense - Defensive Line in the Athletics department.

The candidate would be expected to:

Coach and evaluate defensive players within a specific position group, which will include working closely with the defensive coordinator to formulate game and practice strategies, implementing practice plans that reflect the game plan strategies, and monitoring the progress of defensive players within that position group.


The position will offer advice and suggestions to the defensive coordinator as it relates to the performance of the overall defense.

This is an on-campus, in-person; non-remote position.

Required Degree, License or Certifications:
CPR and NCAA recruiting certification must be attained within six months from date of hire, Bachelor's degree

Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately, Must have an understanding of the University's concern for academics as well as athletic excellence

Football coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate level. Computer literate. A valid driver's license in your state of residence and have had no serious violations (Type A) within the past five (5) years and no more than three (3) moving violations (Type B) in the past three (3) years.
