Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for an Assistant Coach - Defense - Linebackers, in the Athletics department.

The candidate would be expected to:

Coach and evaluate defensive players within a specific position group including game and practice preparation as well as player recruitment and development. Fulfill various administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach. Assist the Head Coach as needed in all facets of the football program while supporting the goals and objectives of the athletic department.


This is an in-person, on-campus; non-remote position.

Required Degree, License or Certifications:
Bachelor's degree, CPR and NCAA recruiting certification must be attained within six months from date of hire

Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must have an understanding of the University's concern for academics as well as athletic excellence, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately

Football coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate level. Computer literate. A valid driver's license in your state of residence and have had no serious violations (Type A) within the past five (5) years and no more than three (3) moving violations (Type B) in the past three (3) years.
