Posting Details Posting Details Title Assistant Coach of Women's Rugby (part-time) Posting Number C00332JP Department Athletics Job Summary The Assistant Coach of Women’s Rugby assists in all aspects of the intercollegiate Women’s Rugby team including practice, planning, game strategy, team travel and other team events when appropriate. This is a great opportunity for a candidate to start or develop their career as a NCAA rugby coach.
Paid at an hourly rate, the expected salary is $10,000 for the season. Education/Skills Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in physical education or related field is strongly preferred Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification or obtained upon hire Knowledge of Rugby strategy and training methods and ability to effectively teach them Working knowledge of NCAA and NESCAC rules and an understanding of the philosophy behind them Ability to motivate and effectively communicate with student-athletes Commitment to being a positive member of the Athletics Department, the college community and the ability to influence his/her athletes to do the same Ability to be self-directed and work independently in a stressful environment Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents Demonstrated effectiveness in coaching Women’s Rugby preferred. Experience competing in rugby at a high level (Professional, Regional and National team) preferred
Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications in this posting to be considered for hire. Standard Work Days and Hours This is a casual, part-time, non-benefit eligible position working 10-15hrs/wk in season. The work schedule is mostly weekday afternoons and early evenings for practices, as well as weekend hours for practices and matches. Other hours as required by the Head Coach Please note this position is expected to start in August 2025.
